1. Can I book the hotels directly through you?

All bookings will be done directly with the hotels. You can take advantage of our Discount Codes and you will get the best special rates negotiated with the hotels.

2. I have signed up for the event, waht happens now?

You will receive an email from Eventrac confirming your registration and participation in the event. Now train hard!

3. Can I rent a good quality bike or a wetsuit for the race?

Yes you can. We recommend TeamDoubleJ for their excellent bikes and service and they will help you with everything you need. About the neoprene, you can rent it with us. You will find all the information for your rental here: https://mallorcatriathlon.com/es/alquiler-de-bicicletas-y-neopranos/

4. Can I bring friends and family?

Yes you can, and all friends and family are very welcome. The village is a wonderful place to spend a few days and with the race on Saturday morning, everyone will enjoy the whole weekend ahead after racing.

5. How far is Colonia Sant Jordi from Palma airport?

We are 35 minutes from Palma airport. There are many taxis outside the arrivals hall or you can book a transfer with us in advance and we will pick you up. You can read more info about coming from Palma airport in our section Getting here.

6. How secure is the transition area?

We take safety very seriously and will ensure that volunteers keep the transition area closed and secure from the start until all bikes are removed.

7. Will there be toilets at the start area?

There are 2 public restrooms close to the transition zone.

8. Are wetsuits required?

Wetsuits are not necessary unless the water is particularly cold, but we strongly recommend them. Most athletes in the race will wear one.

9. Are the roads closed to traffic?

Yes, all the roads of the bicycle cours are closed, so we will have the best race conditions.

10. Is drafting permitted?

Yes. Drafting is allowed during the bike leg. This means that is NO allowed the use of  TIME TRIAL BIKES, TRI BARS or AERO BARS, and that wheels must have at least 12 spokes.  Disc brakes are allowed. 

11. What level of Triathlete is this race suited to?

We are a friendly race in a very picturesque part of the world. The circuit is fast and flat, making it ideal for beginners and professionals alike.

12. Can I stay in the area for a few days after the race to train?

The Colònia Sant Jordi is the perfect place to train triathlon. You can swim in the Olympic outdoor swimming pool at the BEST Centre, or in the crystal clear waters of the beaches, ride the rolling terrain and hills of Sant Salvador and Randa, and run on the soft forest trails behind the beaches. Just let us know what you need and we will arrange it for you.

13. Is the race really founded by Olympians?

Yes, it is. Matthew and James, who created the BEST Centre in 2009, are the organisers of this event. They are in good company, as Spanish Olympic cyclist Joan C. Tomás has his bike rental shop just around the corner from the pool; www.teamdoublej.com. The city is becoming a mini Olympic village!
